XSBR based floor adhesives, Pressure-sensitive Adhesives, Inks, Over-Paint Varnishes, Window Seal Coating
Used to cross-link acid functional PUD's & acrylic resins
Won't hydrolyze, i.e., lose cross-linking properties; such as aziridine
Has longer pot life, i.e., won't increase in viscosity like isocyanate
Does not have health & safety issues like aziridine. Lower in price vs. aziridine

*carboxylated styrene-butadiene rubber

Floor Adhesives - increase cohesive strength of XSBR
Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) - increase cohesive strength & decrease tack & peel
Printing Inks - decrease "bleeding"
Over-Print Varnish (OPV) - increase scuff resistance. Water, chemical & temperature resistance
Automotive Window Seal Coating - improve wear resistance

Note:

Vinyl esters are made by reacting acrylic acid with epoxy. LER is typically used. When making vinyl esters, styrene or vinyl toluene is often used as the reactive diluent.
Vinyl esters are typically used in tank linings, pipes, flooring, etc.
Vinyl esters compete with epoxy. Vinyl esters are 100% solids. They shrink (greater than epoxy) vs. epoxy (1%) and have good chemical resistance.
