HyproTM RLP for Miscellaneous Applications

HyproTM reactive liquid polymers are used in miscellaneous applications in which either carboxyl or amine in CTBN (carboxyl terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile) and ATBN (amine terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile), respectively is beneficial for specific properties. Thus these low molecular weight, functional nitrile polymers may behave as compatibilizers for thermoplastic elastomers, as an example. The butadiene homopolymer or CTB (carboxyl terminated butadiene) could be useful for applications requiring a non-polar compatibilizer.

Other applications in which a dicarboxylic elastomer (CTBN) could be useful would be replacing dimer acid in preparing polyamides for enhanced low temperature or oil resistance performance. Polymeric diamines (ATBN) may be used in a similar capacity in polyureas. CTBN liquid polymers may be used in developing in elastomer modified acrylated epoxy resins for UV curing applications.
